Pune: The campaign for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections is gathering momentum. In Pune’s Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Assembly constituency, independent candidate Manish Anand seems to be leading with a series of rallies and public marches. The issue of slum rehabilitation and redevelopment in Patil Estate has been pending for several years. Anand has assured the residents that he will work to resolve this matter with the support of the state government without leaving any family stranded.

During a public march held in Patil Estate, Anand interacted with the residents and gave them his assurances.

Manish Anand further said that, if elected, he is determined to prioritize the issues related to slum and community development in the Shivajinagar constituency. He pledged to pursue the state government for the rehabilitation of Patil Estate’s residents and ensure they receive new housing before any redevelopment takes place in the area.

Additionally, Anand expressed his intention to establish an Ideation Center named after former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to nurture students’ creativity. Through this center, he aims to connect local students with support from both the state and central governments to help them realize their potential.
