Pune: Independent candidate Manish Anand, contesting from the Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Assembly constituency, is intensifying his campaign efforts. A large rally held in Bopodi Gaothan on Tuesday evening attracted enthusiastic support from voters, where Anand engaged directly with locals to understand their concerns.

Anand addressed the need to boost education among children in the slum and settlement areas of Bopodi, where educational attainment remains low. To support students, particularly those preparing for competitive exams like MPSC and UPSC, Anand announced plans to establish a “Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Center of Knowledge” library. Supported by the state government, this facility will be accessible to all students free of charge.

He also highlighted the urgent need to improve sanitation in the slum areas of Bopodi, pledging to work through the Pune Municipal Corporation to address this pressing issue. Furthermore, Anand emphasized his commitment to creating employment opportunities for local youth.

On Wednesday morning, the campaign continued with a rally across Khairwadi, Chafekar Nagar, and Anand Yashoda to rally support for Manish Anand’s vision for the constituency.
