Pune – Independent candidate Manish Anand, contesting from the Chhatrapati Shivajinagar constituency, held a major padyatra (foot march) on November 11 in Indira Vasahat and Kasturba Vasahat (Aundh), followed by another padyatra this morning (Nov 12) in Bopodi, covering the stretch from Manaji Bagh to Chhajed Petrol Pump. Both events received an enthusiastic response from local residents.

Indira and Kasturba Vasahat are primarily slum areas where residents struggle with issues like inadequate infrastructure and poor living standards. Addressing these concerns, Manish Anand committed to prioritizing the planned redevelopment of slums to positively impact residents’ lives and elevate the overall quality of urban living.

Anand highlighted that a well-executed redevelopment plan would not only address civic issues such as sanitation, water supply, and electricity but would also provide residents with improved housing and a more stable living environment. “Redevelopment is not just about rebuilding infrastructure,” he said, “it’s about creating a better future for our people.”

Speaking in Bopodi, Anand further expressed his commitment to addressing traffic congestion and enhancing essential services in the area.
