Mumbai : Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat participated in Mission Swachhta Aur Paani Telethon event conducted by Network 18 on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister for Jal Shakti, said that India achieved the target for making India Open Defection Free in 2019, 11 years ahead of the time set by United Nations. “The achievement has established India as the role model for other developing nations.”
Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh also highlighted the importance of oceans and preserving them. “Our oceans are our economy, and it is in the interest of the country to preserve the health of young ones,” he said.
Union Jal Shakti Minister participated in the Mission Swachhta Aur Paani Telethon event organised on the occasion of World Toilet Day.
